Chapter 20 - Wizard Saint Trials

Ace walked into the ship in Hargeon Port with Mirajane and she walked towards the other S-Class wizards while Ace walked to stand with Lucy, Wendy and Max

They boarded a ship and it set sail for Tenrou Island. Although Mavis was no longer there, the spell that protects all Fairy Tail members was still active there, which made it the perfect place for the S-Class Trials.

To their surprise, not only were the Fairy Tail members there on the ship, but also several members of the Wizard Saints and Magic Council, namely Draculos Hyberion, Wolfheim, Warrod Sequen and Jura Neekis were there as well as Jellal of Crime Sorciere were there as well waiting.

“Welcome Ace. There has been a change of plans. While Lucy, Wendy and Max will still be going for the S-Class Trails, you will instead be taking another trial instead, together with Laxus, Erza, Natsu and Gray. This is a trial to become one of the Wizard Saints, representing Fairy Tail” Gildarts said.

“What? A trial to become a Wizard Saint?” Ace asked, stunned but yet not surprised. Natsu, Gray, Erza and Laxus already knew about it.

“Yes. Originally, they asked me to join, but as Guild Master, together with the dimensional crisis that is happening all over, I cannot take up the responsibility” Gildarts explained.

“Furthermore, even I can tell that you are hiding your true power. You or one of the others would best serve the guild for the greater good if you win, rather than just take up missions for Fairy Tail. After all, you will always still be part of the guild” he continued.

The rest of the S-Class mages were also stunned. It was a great honor to be selected.

“Yes, we are here to test you, as to fully understand what you can offer” Draculos said.

“Yeah yeah. Wait till we get on shore. I don’t want to swim back” Gildarts said as he knocked Natsu out with a chop to his head.

Ace grinned and looked at the rest. They were all beaming and smiling at him, feeling proud one of their own would be nominated for a Wizard Saint.

As they landed, Mirajane kissed him and wished him luck as she disappeared while pushing Makarov on his wheelchair, joined by Juvia, Gajeel, Freed, Evergreen, Bickslow and Elfman to help administer the S-Class test.

The rest, including Laxus, Erza, Natsu and Gray stayed behind with Gildarts and the Wizard Saints.

“Alright. This test is simple and straightforward. Draculos, Wolfheim, Warrod, Jura, Jellal and myself will watch you battle each other in round robin matches, and the most powerful among yourselves will have a final test against one of us. The most powerful will be our representative as Wizard Saint.

The matches started off with Natsu vs Laxus, then Erza vs Gray and so on.

Natsu actually managed to beat Laxus, drew with Gray and lost to Erza and Ace

Gray drew with Natsu but lost to Laxus, Erza and Ace

Erza beat Natsu and Gray but lost to Laxus and Ace

Laxus beat Erza and Gray but lost to Natsu and Ace

Ace actually beat everyone of them reasonably easily, so overall the decision was clear.

In every match, Ace showcased a different ability to beat his opponent.

Against Natsu, he used his [Space] portals to ensure Natsu ended up hurting himself, not even leaving a scratch on Ace.

It was really comedic as every punch Natsu threw entered a portal and exited next to his face, punching himself.

Every dragon roar was redirected harmlessly into space. Every attack ended harmlessly as Ace stood still with his arms behind his back.

Natsu obviously didn’t give up, so eventually Ace created a large rocking ship arcade machine and teleported Natsu onboard. Immediately, he turned green and thus the victor was clear.

Against Gray, he used his [Time] abilities to change time by rendering all of Gray’s ice abilities useless.

Every ice creation he shot at Ace, like Ultear, he accelerated the ice into nothingness.

“This… it’s like my fight with Ultear” Gray exclaimed.

Gray instead wanted to cut himself to freeze his blood like he did with Ultear, but Ace suspended him in time.

Thus, he won against Gray effortlessly as well.  

Against Erza, he used [Domain] to neutralize all her armors and weapons and trap her with vines that came out of nowhere while she was powerless.

Like her battle against Marin Harrow, all Erza’s armors and weapons from her [Requip] magic was neutralized.

Furthermore, a combination of Uosuke’s [Terrain Effect Magic] and Rustyrose’sa [Arc of Embodiment] turned the area into a incredible obstacle course, finally pinning her down helplessly, giving Ace the win.

Against Laxus, he put him to sleep with his [Soul] magic. He didn’t even want to fight with Laxus.

By the time Laxus woke up, he knew the fight was over.

The representatives from the Magic Council, being Wizard Saints themselves were completely shocked.

“I would like to have a go” said Jura as he stepped up onto the fighting area

“Be my guest” Ace smiled, inviting him up.

“Well, be on guard!” Jura said as he attacked with his Earth magic

At first, Ace countered Jura with earth magic of his own, countering everything Jura threw at him with a exact duplicate of his own.

Then, he started adding in Natsu’s fire dragon-slayer magic, then Gray’s Ice demon-slaying magic. By now, Jura was on the back foot, and Ace seemed to be enjoying himself.

As Laxus’s lightning dragon-slaying magic started enveloping Ace’s body, preparing to attack, Jura gave up.

“I give up. You’re too strong” he said to the shock of those in attendance.

Jellal stepped up next. “I want to try as well” he said

Ace smiled and nodded as Jellal started to attack with his Heavenly Bodies Magic

Ace matched him move for move, not losing out at all to any of Jellal’s magics.

Eventually, Ace subdued him by using [Disjunction] on Jellal, negating all his magical abilities.

“I yield. You are magnificent” said Jellal in admiration.

“I believe you quite easily may be the most powerful mage of the Wizard Saints” said Draculos

Ace simply nodded and smiled. “I don’t really know how powerful I have gotten. Once I copied Rufus’s [Memory Make], together with my [Magic Drain], I have yet to reach my limits” he answered.

“You know what kid? I’ve never sparred with you!” Gildarts said as he powered up.

Ace smiled at him and powered up himself, matching exactly the level of power Gildarts was demonstrating.

The whole area around them started shaking as the observers, all S-Class members started backing away. This fight may very well destroy the whole island.

“Ok. Lets stop for now. I concede. It looks like the decision is unanimous” Gildarts said, giving up.

Ace powered down as well and smiled. “Thank you guild master” he said.

“Ace, I think by now joining us is a mere formality. Welcome to the Magic Council and becoming one of the new 10 Wizard Saints” Warrod said with a smile.

Everyone else started congratulating Ace. His rise from initially being only a [Requip] mage to what he was now has been nothing short of meteoric.

“Come, lets go see the results of the S-Class Trials” said Makarov

Chapter 19 - S-Class Trial Preparation

Through their network with other guilds, Gildarts informed the guild that there were more and more portals opening around in the different nations of Ishgar, each seemingly leading to different worlds.

The demon realm that Mirajane was captured in was one of many. Several guilds had experienced great losses in personal.

Fairy Tail has so far been fortunate. Having so many S-Class mages, they were the most powerful guild in Fiore.

They had Gildarts, Laxus, Erza, Mirajane, Natsu, Gray, Gajeel, Juvia, Cana, Levy, Mest, Loki, Elfman, Evergreen, Freed and Bickslow, they were well stocked in S-Classes.

Even then, several of them came back injured. With several weaker guilds being wiped out, Fairy Tail had to take up slack, and many of the sub teams had to be broken up.

They came back with injuries while succeeding with their missions. But they were swamped.

As news came in, Ace got more and more concerned as were the rest about the portals.

Ace himself was treated as an unofficial S-Class, and given S-Class missions. He was recommended, together with Lucy, Wendy and Max for this year’s S-Class Trials.

Ace had already consolidated the magic he could use, so he didn’t need more training as his magic was limited to his imagination.

In preparation, Ace started traveling around Fiore, talking to members of Crime Sorciere, playing around with his time magic and doll magic.

He stood on top the building where August of Spriggan 12 floated before he disintegrated. With the help of his upgraded [Historia of the Dead] magic, he got a Historia version of August to help him with the spell.

He finally managed to merge several magical concepts together to restore August’s body, even though in disintegrated many years ago.

“Success!” he said as he stored August’s real body and dispersed the Historia version.

“Now, I’ll have to target those at the hall” he thought to himself.

The next night when none of the S-Class mages were around, he froze time in the Fairy Tail guild and used the same tactic, getting Historias of Zeref, Mavis and Larcade to identify the exact location of their demise.

Then, he used the same time magic to restore Zeref, Mavis and Larcade’s bodies that disintegrated in the guild hall and stored them.

On another night, he also did the same when he traced down where Silver, Gray’s father disappeared and did the same, recreating his body and storing it.

He also did the same for Acnologia’s human body off the coast of Hargeon Port and Ur in Brago where she died casting Ice Shell on the demon Deliora.

He even traced down Zero’s body after finding out from Crime Sorciere where MacBeth killed Zero, and restored it.

One by one, he found and restored all the powerful bodies of dead friends and foes that Fairy Tail met over the years.

Acnologia, Zeref, Mavis, August, Irene, Hades, Zero, Silver, Ur, Larcade, Bloodman, God Serena, Wall Eehto, Azuma, Zancrow, Mard Geer, Kyoka, Tempester, Keyes and Ezel, there were 20 of them.

He went by himself to an abandoned place late at night, far from anyone and got Ultear, Minerva, Kagura, Brandish and Dimaria to guard the area. They were all nude, wearing only a mask to hide their faces. This was his preferred uniform for them.

He dressed them all in cloaks with nothing underneath, with several different colors and were semi transparent. Although their faces were well concealed, the silhouettes of their body could clearly be seen through the cloth.

Mavis’ and Larcade’s cloak were pure white, while Ur and Silver were in light blue. Irene was in bright red, while Zeref, Hades, Zero were in black and all the Tartaros members were in grey. God Serena was in dark blue, Zancrow was in yellow and Asuma was in green.

If all else fails, they were his trump cards. Together with Ultear, Minerva, Kagura, Brandish and Dimaria, his forces were beyond even the Spriggan 12, especially with Acnologia, Zeref, August and Irene who were in a power level of their own.

He would try his best not to reveal them unless absolutely necessary, since some like Mavis, Irene, Silver and Ur would cause conflicts with his Fairy Tail guild mates.

They flew around him, all 20 members of his puppet squad, all releasing a vast amount of magical power. Then, they all disappeared into his [Requip] dimension.

He floated down with a satisfied smile. Regardless what happens, he had full confidence that he could handle anything.

He smiled at Ultear, Minerva, Kagura, Brandish and Dimaria and kept them away.

His preparation was complete, he headed back to his home.

As he entered his house, Jenny and Mirajane were waiting naked for him eagerly.

“So are your preparations complete?” asked Mirajane.

“As you know, my original magic is Velveno’s [Magic Drain]. After I received Seilah’s demon body, my stamina increased tremendously, allowing me to retain so many more abilities” he said

“How many more abilities?” Makarov asked curiously.

“All of them” he answered to the shock of everyone there.

“All of them? How is that possible?” Levy asked.

“Well, I can’t use them all at once. That will drain my magic stamina too much. But I can use one or several at a time concurrently, like their original use would” he answered.

“You mean you’ve copied all our powers?” Gray asked.

“Not initially. As you know, Velveno’s powers require me to touch you to actively copy your magics. So out of respect, I never actively acquired any of your magics. But when I shook Rufus from Sabretooth’s hand, I was curious about his [Memory Make] magic. Since then, as long as I see any ability, I have it” he answered.

Everyone there was stunned.

“I was considering nominating you for this year’s S-Class Trials. But if what you are saying is true, it’s a mere formality for you” Gildarts said.

“That’s up to you master” Ace answered.

The debriefing lasted another hour. When it ended, Ace said goodbye and left for home.

Everyone noticed that Mirajane followed him home holding his hands.

Chapter 16 - Lisanna

Ace was standing in front of the missions board, looking for a mission when Guild Master Gildarts called him over.

“What can I help you with Guild Master?” Ace asked politely.

“I just want to ask you if you are able to take an S class mission?” he asked

“I can, even though I am not officially S class yet. What is the mission?” Ace asked in return.

“Several weeks ago Mirajane left with Lisanna to the Kingdom of Bosco on a mission to get rid of a demon found in one of the caves in the mountains over there. It should have only been a Grade A mission, but they should have been back by now.” Gildarts answered.

“I would have sent Natsu’s team as it is the strongest with S-classes Natsu, Erza, Gray and Juvia as well as Lucy and Wendy, but they are away for a S class mission. The Thunder God Tribe similarly is off on a mission of their own and Elfman is part of their team now that he and Evergreen are together. Gajeel is also away doing a mission with Levy and team Shadowgear, so the only S-Class here besides myself is Cana. Unfortunately I have to attend one of those blasted Guild Master meetings, otherwise I would go have a look.

As you know, Bosco has their notorious slave trade that kidnaps people and enslaves them for sale. So I am not entirely comfortable with Cana going on her own. Would you accompany her for this mission?” he asked.

“I will be happy to Guild Master” Ace answered and nodded to Cana who was drinking sulkily.

Cana didn’t appear too pleased with Gildarts asking someone else to go with her.

“Don’t you think you are over cautious Gildarts? There’s probably nothing that happened to Mirajane and Lisanna. They might have extended their time there for some pampering at a spa or something. You know how powerful Mirajane is” she said.

“I told you to call me dad. Why must you be so stubborn?” he asked her playfully while hugging her.

She pushed him away and stared at Ace. “Come along. If you are to follow me, you better get your stuff packed” she said.

“No need. I’m always ready. Requip magic remember?” he smiled.

“Fine, then lets go. Good bye dad” she said as she finally pushed off her father.

She walked out with Ace giving Gildarts a salute and following behind her.

They sat on the train and Cana sulkily sitting on the train.

“Come on Cana, cheer up” Ace said as he produced a bottle of wine and two glasses.

“Wouldn’t happen to have any beer would you?” she asked.

“Sorry, I only have wine” he smiled as he poured her a glass.

“You know, ever since you revealed your, ah… um… other selves, nobody really knows what your magic is. You don’t only still do Requip, do you?” she asked curiously.

“Haha, you’ll find out sooner or later” he teased.

“Please don’t tease me. We should get comfortable with each other’s magic to effectively work together” she said.

“Lets just say, with my magic that copies other people’s magic, I have kept the best magic for myself” he said.

They chatted for hours until the arrived at the capital city of Bosco. It wasn’t any smaller than Crocus, the capital of Fiore, but the streets were more crowded and messier.

If anything, the atmosphere seemed more rowdy like a marketplace with things being bought and sold everywhere.

As they investigated together, they suddenly heard a commotion.

“Did you hear? They are auctioning a real harpy” said one man

“A harpy? Is it real?” asked another

“Who knows, lets go and see. There would be mages who would happily chop it up for ingredients” said the first man.

“A harpy? You don’t think…..” asked Cana

“Lisanna” answered Ace instantly nodding.

They rushed off, following the crowd to a crowded auction area. On the stage was an actual harpy, with it’s head covered in a showl, while it had a naked female human torso, wings instead of hands and birds feet instead of human legs. The bidding was about to begin.

“That.. that’s Lisanna!” gasped Cana, recognizing her body and breasts. The girls of Fairy Tail regularly bathe together in their communal bath and obviously recognized each other.

“Ladies and gentlemen, we are pleased to present a real life harpy. The hunter that caught it found it unconscious and captured it. The slave collar keeps it docile. And if the owner has such desires…. It is still pure” the auction master said as he turned the body around and pried open it’s pussy, as if demonstrating that she was still a virgin.

The slave auction in Bosco was renowned for attracting all kinds of perverts. Not only did they buy women for sex slaves, some have been known to do so with other species as well.

“We’ve got to do something!” said Cana

“I’ve already rescued her. That one on stage is a fake that I replaced” Ace said

“Trust me, lets get out of here now” Ace answered.

She looked back at the harpy on stage before deciding to trust Ace and follow him to a nearby inn.

“We would like your largest suite please” he smiled hugging Cana as if they were lovers

The innkeeper smiled and gave them the key. Ace pulled Cana and rushed her into the room.

“So you really rescued her already?” Cana asked, still doubting him.

With a wave of his hand, a portal appeared and he brought the “harpy” out.

Ace immediately removed the shawl, revealing Lisanna’s pretty face. She had a blank look on her face and stood there completely still.

He took out a mechanical device and removed the collar as her eyes suddenly came back to her senses.

“What…. Ace? Cana?” Lisanna said. Suddenly she realized that she was naked in front of Ace and covered herself with her feathers.

“Here, wear this” Ace said giving her a wizard robe that covered her whole body while disposing the collar. He teleported it to the auction in case it had a tracker on it.

Lisanna transformed back to her human form and started crying.

Cana hugged her, trying to comfort her.

“Lisanna… what happened to Mirajane?” she asked

“Mira… she… she was attacked by a demon horde. It wasn’t just one demon, it was a horde! The cave was actually a portal to a demon dimension! She held them back while I escaped. But after I left, one of those despicable hunters captured me as I was fleeing. Mira… she…”she started crying again

“Is.. is she still alive?” Cana asked

“I don’t know” Lisanna whimpered.

“What do we do?” asked Cana, looking at Ace

“You bring Lisanna back to the guild. I will investigate myself” Ace said

“Are you sure that’s a good idea?” she asked

“You’ve seen me rescue Lisanna under their noses. Trust me. I can handle this. Most powerful magics copied, remember?” he said

Cana nodded, finally agreeing.

“Lisanna, transform into my image, and leave with Cana. Show me on this map, where the cave was” Ace ordered.

Lisanna showed him, then transformed to look identical to Ace. Ace in turn covered up in a cloak.

Ace nodded in approval, then saw them off. He walked past the action house to see a commotion as a rich person with several bodyguards was arguing with the auctioneers.

Ace had used his [Timestop] spell to stop time and [Portal] to steal Lisanna away. Then he used [Domain] to create a fake harpy that looked exactly like Lisanna. After they left, the harpy was purchased by the rich person. But as Ace left the area, the harpy disintegrated before everyone’s eyes.

Furthermore, the tracking collar appeared on the floor where all the many auction guests were standing, causing them to not even have any trace of Lisanna.

Ace laughed internally and started walking towards the cave where Mirajane was last seen.

Chapter 15 - Upgrades

Ace returned with Jenny and the other Fairy Tail members to Magnolia from Margaret Town where Lamia Scale was located after enjoying their Annual Thanksgiving Day celebrations.

While there, they enjoyed the performances and also meeting up with the other allied guilds besides Lamia Scale, like Blue Pegasus, Sabretooth and Mermaid Heel and even Quatro Cerberus.

While there, he managed to touch both Sherry Blendy and Yuka Suzuki to absorb their [Doll Attack] and [Wave] magic respectively.  

[Doll Attack] enabled Sherry to animate anything, including Celestial Spirits, escept for humans to control as her dolls.

[Wave] on the other hand enables Yuka Suzuki to negate any magic. However, it is limited to one type of magic at a time.

Ace took the whole week off while Jenny went to her guild daily, to consolidate and experiment with all his magical ability. He selected these spells carefully, but he wanted to use them in a cohesive manner.

His previous life as Velveno, he could only copy and keep 5 magical abilities at one time and keep them for only a day simply because Velveno’s memory wasn’t very good, and his magical endurance wasn’t very high.

Having Seilah’s demon body enabled him to hold magics indefinitely. Furthermore, Ace’s chip in his brain from his previous life, together with Rufus’ [Memory Make] enabled him to memorize more magics and merge them together.

He organized his magics into several main categories

[Reality Magic]. This magic is all the different curses and magic he has that changes the reality around him.
•    [Copy Magic]. This is a combination of Velveno’s [Magic Drain] and Rufus’ [Memory Make] which enables him to copy any ability shown by another mage instantly.
•    [Domain].He combined Rustyrose’s [Arc of Embodiment],Uosuke’s [Terrain Affect Magic] and Sherry’s [Doll Attack] where he literally controlled the environment and everything in it within a designated area of his eyesight.
•    [Disjunction]. He combined Marin’s [Rules of the Area] and Yuka Suzuki’s [Wave] magic to a spell he called [Magic Negate] which negates all magic including summoning magics.

[Soul]. This magic involves controlling objects, dead or alive or even inanimate
•    [Control] He combined Seilah’s [Macro] curse ability to control both the living and dead, Sherry’s [Doll Attack] which controlled everything except humans, Bickslow’s [Figures Eye] magic which controls people, Ultear’s [Possession] which enables one to control other people and Bickslow’s [Human Possession] which controls spirits. This combined magic overpowers anyone who has a similar control type magic
•    [Enslave] He renamed his [Human Subordination Magic] whereby he could enslave a human, turning him/her into his summoned slave like Ultear, Minerva. Kagura, Brandish and Dimaria
•    [Reincarnate] He renamed Neinhart’s [Historia of the Dead] which enables him to create copies of dead people with their memories and personalities.
•    [Puppet]. He combined Sherry’s [Doll Attack] which creates controllable dolls out of anything, Bickslow’s [Human Possession] which controls spirits as well as Kain Hikaru’s [Voodoo] Magic which he took when he robbed him of his Mr Cursey’s which enables one to control another person’s body as well as change it’s attributes.

[Time] He created his own magic using magic learned and absorbed from both Ultear and Dimaria
•    [Reverse] This is a part of Ultear’s [Arc of Time] which reverses time on anything it affects
•    [Forwards] This is also part of Ultear’s [Arc of Time] which forwards time on anything it touches
•    [Time Stop] This is Dimaria’s [Age Seal] which stops time in her vicinity.

[Space] He created this magic using magic learned and absorbed from both Minerva and Marin Hollow
•    [Teleportation] The ability to teleport himself or other people and objects anywhere
•    [Portal] This magic is based on Minerva’s [Territory] which enables portals to enter and exit within a certain area within eyesight
•    [Lock] This magic is based on Marin’s [Rules of the Area] spell which locks all teleportation magics within eyesight.
•    [Requip] His basic spell to keep or take out objects from a storage dimension.

[Body Transformation] His basic spell from Velveno, which enabled him to transform into anyone he wants.

He revised the list in his head and smiled to himself.

He stood in the middle of his hall with writings all over the air around him as he finally finished his work and was pleased with it.

He had quite a number of dead Spriggan 12, Tartaros and Grimoire Heart bodies which each had enormous amounts of power which he could absorb using his new [Copy Magic] spell.

He intended to use them both as batteries for himself and as puppet soldiers if need be.

There were also the bodies of Zeref, Mavis, August, Larcade, Hades and Acnologia which he intended to capture the spirits of and reconstitute their powerful bodies as batteries.

Jenny walked back into their house and watched him with the spells floating around him in amazement.

“What are you doing?” she asked looking amazed.

“I was revising and upgrading my spells. Let me upgrade you” he said as he walked up to her and kissed her.

As his hands touched her, she was shocked as her clothes all vanished, leaving her naked. His hands groped her all over, ending up on her breasts and fingering her pussy.

As she moaned with her eyes closed, Ace whispered in her ear “Machina Soul Nova!”

Instantly, her body glowed as she floated into the air as Ace released her, letting her float in the air while he looked at her from the ground.

Her naked body was covered in a white nearly transparent layer concealing her nakedness, while several diamond shaped mirror satellites rotated around her body like electrons around a nucleus.

“What… what is this? I feel so… so powerful” she asked.

“This is your Machina Soul Nova form, your most powerful form I created for you” he said.

“Teleport outside” he said. Before she could think, she was floating above their house outside.

Ace walked out the door and instructed her “Aim your hand at the target and imagine shooting”

As he did that, he created a huge castle in the distant mountains using his new [Domain] spell.

She obeyed, aiming her hand at the castle. With a thought, the mirrors that were floating around her fired a gigantic blast, disintegrating the castle and blowing a hole right through the mountain.

It was lucky that they stayed in a scenic but isolated house far from anyone, in the middle of the towns Fairy Tail and Blue Pegasus were in. So no one noticed the commotion.

The following half hour, Ace walked through with Jenny all her abilities in her Nova form. It truly placed her in S-Class level, especially when Blue Pegasus was fairly weak.

As for the rest of the night, they spent the night doing their nightly exercises whenever they are both home and not on a mission.

Besides the fact that the house was isolated because it was conveniently close to both their guilds, it also gave them privacy due to the loud moans they made whenever they were home.

Chapter 14 - Truth Revealed?

“Ace… do you know why everyone has been looking for you?” guildmaster Gildarts asked

 “Yes, yes I do master. I….. I have something to admit too” Ace said.

With a wave of his hand, he shut the large guild door using his [Arc of Embodiment] magic.

The mages of Fairy Tail were stunned. This wasn’t his [Requip] magic. However, they gave him the benefit of the doubt by not taking giving a hostile reaction.

“I…. I am Ace, yet I am not. In fact I have lost myself, I am not sure who I am” Ace started.

“I only know the person I was, I was a big fan of Fairy Tail, of all of you, but I had no magical abilities at that time. Suddenly, during the Ishgar vs Alvarez war, I died..” he started with a lie

“…. The next thing I knew, I resurrected as this” he transformed into Velveno

“Velveno!” Natsu yelled out, startling everyone.

“Yes. Velveno. I didn’t know who I was but the prison collapsed. Then his memories flooded my mind and I started immediately looking for Aceto” he continued, looking at Aceto.

"Continue" said Gildarts

“It took me several days before finding her mansion. The geography was different and I had to look everywhere for her. By the time I found her, the mansion had returned. But she was dead… raped and killed by enemy soldiers. I took the appearance of Aceto, becoming Ace, and swore to resurrect her” he continued.

"I'm sorry to hear that. Then what happened?" Makarof asked.

“I searched in all the major magical libraries for spells that would resurrect her…”

“You know such spells are banned” Makarov interrupted

“Yes…. Yes I know. But I didn’t care. Aceto was the world to me. But I didn’t find any resurrection spells. Instead I learned [Requip] …. And…..and…” his voice faded off

“And what?” asked Makarov

“…. And I joined the guild after that” Ace said, changing his mind about revealing learning the banned [Ruler’s Magic]

“I was still searching for a way to revive Aceto, but I needed a home. It was with Fairy Tail that I took a mission to look for a missing “miracle” mage. I thought he could help me resurrect Aceto” he continued

“It was there that I investigated Tartaros, thinking that they might have something to do with the disappearance” he said

“When I was in their abandoned base, I was captured by her” he said as he transformed into Seilah

The whole guild was startled. Mirajane looked at Seilah’s body and was stunned.

“Somehow, I cast a spell in desperation, but instead of escaping, I took over her body” he said.

“What spell did you use?” Mirajane asked

“Take over Magic” Ace lied “I must have done something wrong, but luckily I still had my spells that I learned before and knew [Transformation] magic, so I could return to this” he said transforming back to Ace


“You inhibit Seilah’s body now?” Mirajane asked

“Yes. It appears to be permanent. I don’t know what happened to my, or more accurately, Velveno’s body” he said.

"How is it possible, when I absorbed Seilah's body when I cast [Take Over] on her, to save her life? This means that I am the only Seilah in existance?" Mirajane asked as she cast [Satan Soul Mirajane Seilah] on herself, revealing herself to look exactly like Seilah.

"I don't really understand it. According to Seilah's memories, this body of hers was revived in Hell's Core, where they revive if they die in new bodies" Ace answered.

"Impossible. I destroyed Hells Core" Mirajane Seilah answered.

 "It wasn't the only one. There was a earlier backup one in their base, But it was the last one, which revived this Seilah" Ace answered.


“It was after taking over Seilah's body, that I returned to my mission and I met Jenny” he said as he looked at her. Her eyes teared up as she looked at him.

“We continued the mission together, and we found the remnants of Grimoire Heart fighting the Garou Knights. Jenny was knocked out, and I fled with her. But we found out that the “miracle” mage was Rustyrose”

“But it wasn’t a failure for me, for I discovered a resurrection spell where Hades’ body was buried”

“That was when I used it on Aceto, and you know the rest as I brought her to Porlyusica for help” he said.

Gildarts and Makarov both nodded. They disapproved of what he did, but he didn’t do anything that bad, only he had used a dark spell as well as was now living in a demon’s body.

“Where have you been the past month?” Gildarts asked.

“I… I wanted to go take revenge on the Alvarez Empire. But…. But I knew I didn’t have enough power. Any of the Spriggan 12 would crush me like an ant. So I went to Tenrou Island instead to clear my head” he lied.

Since Mavis had disappeared with Zeref, there was no longer anyone taking care of Tenrou Island. It’s magic still exists that protects the island and Fairy Tail members, but as he was also a member, he had no problems being there.

“Seilah had the power to control living beings and the dead. Are those your abilities now?” asked Mirajane Seilah.

“Yes. I also still retain Velveno’s magic that copies other magics” he admitted

“That would make you a S-Mage, wouldn’t it?” asked Gray

“Yes, yes it would. I am sorry for lying to you all” Ace admitted.

Gildarts conferred with Makarov and they turned and faced him

“Based on what you told us, there is no reason to take any action on you. However, we will be keeping an eye on you, considering that you inhibited the body of both Velveno and especially Seilah. There is no way we can confirm either one of them still has a hold on you or not” Gildarts said

Ace smiled broadly and kneeled to the floor, bowing until his head touched the floor.

“Thank you master. I never intended to lie to anyone.” Ace said

“Get up Ace. We’ve never required any of our members to do this” Gildarts said.

Ace got up, with tears in his eyes as Jenny jumped into his arms.

Porlyusica stared at him, still suspecting that he didn’t tell the whole story. Carla wasn’t convinced either, nor was Mirajane.

Ace hugged Jenny and joined the guild as Natsu, Lucy, Gray and Erza surrounded him, asking him questions.

While he chatted to the various members, he took special attention to copy Bickslow’s abilities using his [Magic Drain] magic as his 6th permanent copied magic. He needed Bickslow’s control over spirits for future plans.

He was genuinely happy that he could remain in Fairy Tail. He had thought that he would have been expelled for being Velveno and Seilah.

However, he knew that they did have reason to expel him if they found out the whole truth. The only thing he had to hide were his control over his subordinates, and the fact that he was keeping several dead bodies.

After all, Ultear, Minerva, Kagura and even Brandish were considered Fairy Tail allies. And furthermore the bodies of Irene was the body of Erza’s mother.
